and The Holiday begin (part 1)

As proud as we are to Indonesia we deliver you a review of Sikuai Island,
one of the private islands in Indonesia
Located in west Sumatra. not more than 2 hours to reach the Island from Minangkabau airport
here are some photos which Yana with her beloved camera, captured during our vacation in Sikuai Island
please enjoy♥

mom's batik sarong
i tried to wear it as a dress
minidress-Gaudi
view from the front office
how peaceful is this for you?

the island only has 25 cottages so it's really nice enjoying the beach
and the water is so clean you can barely look at the fish without diving glass
.the sand is beautifully white.
what we really like there is that the wave is not so big because the island is surrounded by some small islands so the wave doesn't come so big (so no worries for tsunami).
When we were there we rent a canoe. They also rented banana boat and diving equipment, etc.

part 2 will be posted soon
oh i just love holiday
Do you?

DIY Necklaces

This is the picture of DIY Necklaces created by Jezz.

How to:

1. Take a ribbon
2. Sew using thread and needle, approximately o.5cm from the side of the ribbon.
3. Pull the thread tightly until the ribbon wrinkles
4. Form the ribbon into a circle and sew the beginning and the end of the ribbon.
5. Make two others circle-wrinkle ribbon.
6. Pile up the first ribbon on to the second ribbon and the second ribbon on to the third ribbon. Until it forms a flower.
7. Sew a button on top of the top of the flower.
Voila! your flower is done!
Make two more flowers and when finished sew them to the white long ribbon.
Your necklace is finished and ready to wear on top of your lil black dresses :)

Headband and hipband

Early morning I suddenly got inspiration from my ex-housemate's unused fabrics that she left on the table in front of my room.. She got her degree in Textile Art that's why she had some unique fabrics remains...
I took the 'leather like' fabric which has been cut into pieces like ribbons and also took real ribbon with golden color..I didn't ask her permission first i hope it's not just my assumption that those are unused ones hihi...thanks to her anyway coz i like how they looked. I just don't know how long the accessories will last coz i just count on 'my average-sewing-skill' and made it in a rush coz I can't wait to try them on and take the pictures hihi..
Tell me what you think..

Go green!

We know it's not a new cause to say, but we think all of us need to be reminded over and over again to save our environment. Getting inspired by "dapur coklat" not for their delicious melted chocolate but by their encouraging paper bag, here we post and tell you to go green from now on... Here are 3 reasons for u to start caring for your environment:
1. we need to retreat from air conditioner for sure and looking for absolutely fresh air.. O2 is the basic medicine for all living creatures
2. we can live for couple of days without foods but can't make a day without water. Plants and trees preserve water the most!!
3. reduce, recycle, reuse junks will definitely give us healthier place for living, remember the movie wall-e? when this land covered with only rubbish? no more land for us to live...
So, let's do our best to save our environment!!!

Cheers,
Yani and Jess
