New York New York

REPUBLIK PETRUK

Another ritual in the beginning of every year is watching Teater Koma performance in Taman Ismail Marzuki. This year performance titled Republik Petruk. As the name Petruk, surely the theme is about Wayang world.. It's kinda hard to follow the story if you are not familiar with Wayang story. Watching those wayangs made me remembered my childhood when we only had TVRI as the only channel on TV, and there was wayang show which made us familiar with Gatot Kaca, Semar, and some other wayang's characters.. The show itself was basically a reflection for our politician, our country and its problems since this year will be our voting year for the next president.
I can't say that I enjoyed watching the show as much as my first Teater Koma show (Kunjungan Cinta), but after all the music is so great, I had to give bi
g applause for the composer, he's the one who made this show to be something to remember. I am totally amazed with their ability to do musical show, although I'm sure that not all actors and actresses had real talent in music, but they nailed it!
My sisters and I liked one of the actresses so much who we chose to be the best one on the show, she was the one who played as Limbuk. With her ass that was as big as her voice, she throughly made us laugh during the show. I found her very good picture from the Teater Koma milis, I hope you like it too as much as I do..

My shoes are coming!

Thanks to Kbox!
The first one i bought is one size smaller, I was so upset, I thought that is the risk of shopping online.
But fortunately, the owner is so nice, she is my high school friend though.
She suggested to make a new one with one size bigger and I could exchange the shoes for free.. Yeay! And here is the pic of my new shoes..

Can't wait to wear them to the office:)

Take a peek

I found this great blog on the internet, capturing photos of people on the street and commenting their fashion details. It has great photos and fabulous clothes!

The Sartorialist. This blog is owned by Scott Schuman. A photographer and used to work in fashion industry.

When I travelled to Hongkong, I had the idea like his, capturing fashion on the street.
And it is not that easy, as not all people like to be shot by camera. But his pictures are gorgeous, not only the clothes, but the background also fascinating. Love it!

This is one of my fav pic: image taken from the sartorialist

Just take a peek. Hope u'll like it!

It's for you, curly!

As definition of beautiful sometimes translating into skinny, white, long and sleek hair, having a curly hair can be stressful sometimes.
Curly is identic to frizzy and messy hair.
No wonder lots of girls having obsession with straight iron, rebonding and smoothing. I used to be one of the victim also.

Recently, I've just realized, curly hair is also cool. You just have to know how to maintain it.
I am also still in struggling to befriended with my hair. But let me give you are some useful tips i read on internet and have tried it:

1. Use shampoo and conditioner to smooth your hair and non-frizzy formula. This products also do great on your hair:

2. Having hair spa twice in a month. If hair spa is too expensive, try masker on your hair for couple minutes with extra virgin olive oil.

3. When your hair is damp, use curly hair styling product, what I used now is Hypercurl from Wella System Professional. Here is the pic:
It makes your hair bouncing and define your curl

4. Twist your hair to fingers to create more curl or using hair stick until your hair is self-dried.

5. Use hairdryer and hairspray if needed.
